Melanie joined the AEC team in 2007. Before coming to Animal Emergency Clinic, Melanie worked providing animal care at Ramsey County Humane Society and at the University of Minnesota Large Animal Barn. She has also worked in a daytime veterinary clinic. She obtained her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Minnesota in 2006, and is currently a student at Argosy enrolled in their veterinary technology program. She aspires to go to vet school in the fall of 2008 to become a veterinarian for small and large animals alike.
Melanie is owned by two cats (a domestic longhair named Patience and a domestic shorthair named Smeagol) and a Siberian Husky/Samoyed mix named Dallas. She enjoys riding horses and dog training.
When Melanie is not working, in school, or studying, she enjoys reading and making cards and gifts with rubber stamps. She has been married since 2006 to a loving, supportive husband.
