Animal Emergency Clinic isn't just about great medicine. We have a whole crew of individuals whose sole purpose is to make sure the needs of our clients as well as our patients are met.
We know that a trip to the emergency clinic can be very stressful, and our Client Coordinators are there to make sure that the experience goes as smoothly as possible. For us, this means going beyond checking people in and answering the phone. Our Client Coordinators assist the doctor in explaining health care treatment options, assist the technicans and doctors in the initial assessment of our patients, explain discharge instructions and demonstrate the administration of medicine, and coordinate client visitation times for hospitalized patients. They talk with our clients, ensure their comfort, and make sure that no client ever feels forgotten or neglected during their visit. They even go so far as to offer tired and hungry clients coffee, chips, and candy bars!
Each Client Coordinator receives comprehensive training in animal knowledge as well as client care. They are trained to recognize the signs of a veterinary emergency and alert the doctor on duty to potentially critical cases. AEC Client Coordinators multitask well, assisting in radiology, surgery, or the laboratory as easily as they can answer a client's question or see to a worried owner's comfort.
