Kelly Benning, DVM, is a 2002 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. From there she spent one year doing an emergency medicine/surgery internship at West Palm Beach Veterinary Referral & Critical Care Center in Palm Beach, Florida. She began working for the AEC in July of 2003. Her special areas of interest are toxicology and critical care.
Kelly grew up in Minnetonka and currently resides in Chanhassen with her husband Ryan, daughter, Piper, and son, Brooks. She has two cats (Jack and Hobokitty), two centenarian Labradorks (Harley and Abby) and a Greek tortoise named Nick Papageorgio.
Dr. Benning is an avid Minnesota Wild hockey fan! Her hobbies include reading, tennis, scuba diving and spending time outdoors.
