Our St. Paul Animal Emergency Clinic keeps business hours that are complementary to those of most daytime veterinary clinics in the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas, allowing us to act as an extension to your family veterinarian. As such, the St. Paul location is closed during the day while your regular vet is most likely open. This location is also open evenings, nights, weekends, and all major holidays, including Christmas and Thanksgiving. Our Oakdale Animal Emergency Clinic, however, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to serve you and your pet.

Whenever possible, it's a good idea to call ahead to let us know when to expect you. We may be able to facilitate your pet's visit by preparing paperwork, setting up our treatment area for your pet, or if assistance is required, we can meet you at our door to help you carry your animal inside.

Appointments

Due to the nature of our business, we do not offer appointments. Instead, much like a human emergency room, we see our patients in the order in which they arrive.

However, we see our most critical patients first, regardless of the time they arrived. That means that if a very critically injured animal arrives while more stable patients are waiting, we will see the critically injured animal immediately. It's our goal to make sure everyone who walks into AEC walks out of our clinic on all four paws, even if this sometimes means an increased wait for others.
