Our Oakdale facility is at 1163 Helmo Avenue North.

The new clinic, a freestanding building, is located at the base of the Oakdale water tower and next to the Carmike Cinema.

The new facility encompasses 6400 finished square feet with room to expand in the future. A procedures room and a surgical suite are utilized by our emergency veterinarians as well as our board-eligible Criticalist for diagnostic procedures such as ultrasonography and endoscopy.

The floor plan includes six exam rooms plus a family room with softer furnishings to accommodate more individuals for consultation or people considering end-of-life options. A client refreshment area will provide snacks and beverages. There is an outdoor courtyard for visitors to utilize as well as an indoor potty area so that our patients don’t have to venture out into the tundra to do their business. Much of the hospital has natural sunlight, and there is an open and spacious feeling throughout the building. Furnishings and colors have been designed to be pleasing and calming to help aid our clients in a stressful time. Our Open House is taking place Saturday, June 12, but we encourage you to stop by and see the new facility anytime!

Whenever possible, it's a good idea to call the Oakdale clinic ahead of time to let us know when to expect you. We may be able to facilitate your pet's visit by preparing paperwork, setting up our treatment area for your pet, or even meeting you at the door to help you carry your animal inside if assistance is required.

Located at 301 University Ave. in St. Paul, MN, AEC's St. Paul location also has a large and varied number of cases each week. The St. Paul location is also home to Raz, our third blood donor.
