Emily - Technician

Emily and "Georgia"

Before Emily joined AEC in 2001 as a technician, she had already had many years of veterinary experience under her belt. She worked in daytime veterinary practice for four years, one of which was an exclusively feline practice.

Emily has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology. She has also passed both the national and state certification exams, and in 2006 she passed her AVECCT certification, a nationally-recognized certification in veterinary technician emergency and critical care.

Between Emily and her husband (who is a veterinarian), they own six cats (Caliban, Screech, Atticus, Newman, Putty, and Kramer), Wally the golden retriever, Statler the Boston Terrier, and Bart and Ralphie the rats. They also maintain a freshwater fish tank. When Emily is not at work or with her family, she enjoys gardening, photography, and traveling. Emily is also in the process of starting up her own catnip company!
