Kim joined the AEC team in 2005. Before coming here, she also worked for one year at a daytime veterinary clinic as well as six years in veterinary emergency and critical care, and 2 years specializing in veterinary anesthesia. She attended the Medical Institute of Minnesota.
Kim is the proud mother of three children: Kyra, Markayla, and Shai. She owns a rottweiler named Meeklo, a pug named Mushi, two boxers named Chili and Tsunami, and a cat named Aspen. She also owns two chinchillas (Squishy and Sushi), a rabbit (Aspen), and two rats (Rat-Rat and Blueberry).
In her spare time, Kim enjoys kickboxing, taking care of her house, scuba diving, and playing ball with dogs.
