Rachel

Rachel joined the AEC team in 2002. She attended Ridgewater College where she graduated with a degree in veterinary technology in 2001.

She also has three years experience in the University of Minnesota's veterinary oncology department and one year in their surgery department. Additionally, she is a member of the Minnesota Veterinary Reserve Corps. In November 2008, Rachel passed her test with the Academy of Veterinary Technician Anesthetists AVTA to become specialty-certified in veterinary anesthesia.

When she is not working in the veterinary field, she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities such as horseback riding, backpacking, hiking, cross-country skiing, camping, and biking. She has also participated in the Golden Valley Humane Society's Walk for Animals for the last four years, and is an experienced petsitter.

Rachel has two cats, an orange tabby named Dexter, and a brown tabby and white named Stanley.
